Joey is the T10 Paraplegic as the result of Lyme Disease. We spoke with him about the delayed progression of the disease that led to his Paraplegia, getting involved with Adaptive Strongman competitions, and qualifying for the Strongman World Championships and raising money to travel to Orlando for the competition. We also chatted about advocating for others with spinal cord injuries, the role that the Triumph Foundation and connecting with others dealing with SCI played in his recovery, and the fantasy football league that he plays in with Jerimie. Willie told us about how the Biden administration has been the most friendly administration in history for Native American Tribes, some of the big issues facing Indian Country, and how he is putting a focus on the children of his Tribe and uniting people across all boundaries.
