We talked about the car accident in 2014 that caused her spinal cord injury, the amazing family support she had after your injury, and the incredible amount of return she's had in the last 10 years. We also discussed how a spinal cord injury affects a person regardless of how much function, movement, and feeling returns; and how she still deals with nerve pain and drop foot and many of the other things that affects people with SCI on a daily basis even though she can walk. Episode 191 Richie Garcia

This week on the Live to Walk Again Podcast we had the chance to speak with Richie Garcia who is a Disability Advocate and Spinal Cord Injury Survivor. We talked about the motorcycle accident that resulted in his spinal cord injury, transitioning home and out of the "hospital bubble", and his plans to travel to Columbia next week for a stem cell therapy at BioXcellerator. We also chatted about the price of the therapy, traveling such a long distance, and information around the logistics once he is in Columbia. Tyler tells us his whole story from ending up in prison for a couple of years in his early adulthood to coming out and earning a Masters Degree in becoming a bodybuilder to suffering a spinal cord injury last year in a tragic snowboarding accident. We also discussed the role his family and friends have played in his recovery, which clinical trials he's interested in, and the state of the Spinal Cord Injury Community.
